this chair might be older than i am. i just know my parents had it while i was growing up, and it was initially abused by our cat meat. (his original name was tyson, but once he hit the 25-pound mark it changed to meat cause he was so fat, hehe.)
meat took out the backing, so there's currently an orange piece of fabric tacked on with elaborate little brass tacks. when i got my first apartment, i got to take this chair with me. score!
beans and tima never bother the backing, but they get the rest of it. they also slept underneath it when they were kittens, and every now and then they still squeeze under there. i always have to check before i sit in it.
this is my equivalent of frasier's dad's chair. even though it's hideous, it's still comfy. i love to read here, and you can take a mean nap in it with it reclined.
Apartment, Vancouver
This is my previous apartment in Vancouver, and my first HDR post here on flickr.
It's a little strange immortalizing it in this fashion, since I've only been in the new place for a few days and it still has a slightly unreal feel to it, like I'm going to wake up one morning and be back in my old bedroom in the West End.
