This C-121 'Super Connie' was the last one to fly into Charleston AFB where it had been designated for static museum display. Operating motors had to be trucked to the aircraft, fitted, and cleared for a one time flight. She arrrived early 1986 and is shown sitting on the taxiway as a more modern aircraft takes off in the background.

Sadly no longer in service due to airframe fatigue throughout the fleet and its replacement with the more capable C-17. One of the few aircraft on display at Pima that hasn't had its windshields covered with that crappy-looking latex stuff.
