What attracts me to graffiti (setting aside the pro/con arguments) are shape and color. The colors are from all over the color wheel, and for me are lessons in color theory.
This image is slightly off focus. A "technique" I accidentally learned in my previous post "Off Focus" where a slight breeze threw part of the image off, yet created a sense of movement without resorting to software manipulation. Here I wanted to convey a sensation of swirl with the off focus and the shapes. A sort of kaleidoscope effect if you will.

After creating compass pencil drawings they were introduced to basic color vocabulary and theory as they painted them and created a unique work of art in the process.
