Team Manila joins Yahoo!’s Project Purple

Renowned Philippine graphic design group underscores support to the social movement with limited edition T-shirt to encourage Pinoys to be proud of their heritage
MANILA, July 01 2009 – As a continuation of Project Purple, Yahoo! today announced that Team Manila has joined the social movement by creating two exclusive limited edition T-shirts which harness its inspiration from Filipino heritage and the young-Pinoy’s penchant for the internet.
“Yahoo! has been rallying Pinoys to be proud of their National heritage and utilize the internet to aim higher,” said Jojo Anonuevo, general manager, Yahoo! Philippines. “On behalf of the members of this massive social movement, Yahoo! is proud to welcome Team Manila to Project Purple with these T-shirts that reflect the modern day Pinoy,” Anonuevo added.
Team Manila’s designs were influenced by famous characters from Jose Rizal’s novel “Noli Me Tangere” and common colloquialisms by modern Pinoys. Both t-shirts will be available at PHP 550 starting today at Team Manila’s retail stores at the Archeology wing, 2nd Floor Rockwell, 2nd Floor Mall of Asia, Jupiter store in Bel-Air Makati, and soon at the 3rd Floor in Trinoma.
“Team Manila is a firm advocate of Pinoy passions especially in the area of creativity. The Philippines has so much untapped talent and by joining this social movement, we hope to be a voice for Filipino artists, encouraging them to showcase their talents as well,” said Nico Bacani , general manager, Team Manila.
