Why I don't like to buy flowers
When they are young and fresh, they smile at you with bright sunshine. When they get old and wither away, they hang their sad face low ... Every time I buy flowers, I know I'll have to deal with something sad a few days later ...
Hopefully I won't be disappointing anyone by revealing that the photo was taken indoor with a flash. The grayish bleak background came from a wrinkly silver reflector. I held my 430EX with softbox next to the withering lily, pointing the flash to the ceiling to slightly illuminate the flower and also to get a tiny bit light bounce off the reflector.
Perhaps You'd Like To Buy A Flower
Perhaps you'd like to buy a flower,
But I could never sell --
If you would like to borrow,
Until the Daffodil
Unties her yellow Bonnet
Beneath the village door,
Until the Bees, from Clover rows
Their Hock, and Sherry, draw,
Why, I will lend until just then,
But not an hour more!
