This quarter's conference finally started to level T-Mobile's cycling sponsorship beyond the usual press/photocall level. Bob Stapleton (founder of Voicestream - now T-Mobile USA- and now manager of the T-Mobile cycling team) came along to give a good presentation on building high performance teams- this included some video from Roger Hammond and Rolf Aldag, as well as a bit of info on how the T-Mobile team is benig rebuilt this year. And yes, we do need a team leader for the major tours..
For light entertainment, Mark and Paul battled it out in a 1km turbo trainer sprint, with Mark coming in first and Paul playing the 'I rode 100 miles yesterday' card.
Um... Shouldn't you be outside?
Ok, so something like this may be good to keep kids on the bike when it's dark and/or rainy outside. But still, do we really need bicycles hooked to a trainer hooked to a video game??? Ugh - another Grumpy Old Man moment I suppose...
