Annuals is a six-piece indie-pop outfit from Raleigh and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The band was started by Adam Baker in 2003 as a side project of the still active sister band Sunfold, formerly known as Sedona and headed up by lead guitarist Kenny Florence.

The Purple Supreme Pansy (Viola x wittrockiana 'Purple Supreme') used in this mixed planting becomes noticeably fragrant when temperatures are above 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind is calm. It has a very sweet fragrance similar to that of a Japanese Honeysuckle. The yellow pansy used here is not noticeably fragrant.
