After - Proflex 853 / Golden Motor 500W/36V
The same Proflex 853 with added Go-Power. Purchased & installed a rear hub motor from Golden Motor. Added aluminum rear rack for the 3-12V/7aH lead-acid batteries, and a pouch slung from the top tube to hold the controller & wiring.
The pouch on the top tube didn't work so well -- straps broke loose -- so the controller is now in the trunk with the batteries. Looks even more like a plain old bike now.
I've also put a different stem and front fork on since this photo, so the front end looks quite different. Not sure if I like it, so no photos just yet.
After a long day
Well a short day actually, since we were riding up and down the streets of LA for around 3 hours total. This was the most intense exercise I've done since elementary school yet surprisingly I was able to keep going to catch up with the rest of the guys.
Would like to start biking more often but my trunk rack does not hold that well. Will have to fix that problem first...
