Front Struts [Backyard Bike #18]
On this bike the struts are slightly tensioned. This upward pull encourages the natural flex and dampening of the curved fork blades. The struts also hedge the backward flex in the fork when it is under a heavier load. The combination of these two results in what I would call a very "positive" feel and consistent ride. Between the 29" wheels and a wide tire, it's a very cushy ride for a rigid bike.
Carbon rigid fork, canti and disc
I ordered a rigid carbon fork for the Inbred, but like a muppet I ordered the wrong one -.-
I wanted the disc only version, not the disc and canti version, doh!
