(Prom)ising Valentine...(warning: big hair ahead!)
I know...I'm overusing the parenthesed theme thing lately! With Valentine's Day upon us, I thought I'd dig through my old albums and find the oldest pic I had of Todd and I on Valentine's Day....well, to my surprise, I don't have any! I have pictures of vases of flowers he gave me for Valentine's Day, but no really good oldies of the two of us. BUT what I did come across were these old faithful PROM pictures :) Once I found the first year (1991), I had to keep perusing the albums for the others (oops...chose to attend with a friend my senior year--poor Todd :) I can still remember being so petrified to ask my parents if I could "go to the prom" my freshman year...they agreed, but the deal was that since it wasn't my own prom year, I wouldn't get to do the whole "go-out-and-pick-a-dress" thing until my junior year so I had to settle for whatever my mom found for me (thanks, mom, for that lovely white lacy number and for apparently contacting Madonna for her gloves--ha!...by they way, looking at the mermaid-pink picture, I didn't do much better selecting my own dresses--hee-hee!); ) What memories (skinny arms...how I'd love to have you again!) O.K., back to the point of all this, which is...my sweetheart of a husband has since transitioned from a PROMising Valentine to my FOREVER Valentine...love him to infinity times two :)
