Antique Bottles
These 4 bottles are from various periods in Australian history.
Blue - This is a Castor Oil bottle, circa 1880s
Black - Noted for its black glass, this bottle is from circa. 1860s
Amber - Bonnington's Irish Cough Mixture. I found this in Jesmond park, whilst mountain biking.
Clear - Not exactly sure what this bottle was used for, but has "Property of H. M. Leggo" embossed on the side. Henry died in 1938. By the early 1900s the company was one of Victoria's foremost wholesale and manufacturing concerns. Leggo closed his coffee business to concentrate on the manufacture of a range of products including condiments, preserves and canned foods.
