Sunset at English Bay, Vancouver
I have been complaining about the weather this month – it is May but it feels like March. It shouldn’t be. Vancouver is known for the wet depressing long winter (from October to March). If we are lucky, we get nice spring in April – some sunny days, and trees and flowers start to wake up. However, we all wait for May. May is the month of guaranteed sunny days. Vancouverites all deserve some sunshine after the long wet winter.
Well, May 2011 has disappointed me, and probably a lot of us. It has been wet and cold, most of the time. Then a few days ago we had taste of summer for a short period – beautiful sunny days, people in bathing suits on the beach, temperature over 20 degree (Celsius) and everyone was happy.
The sunset from my desk was absolutely gorgeous on one of those days. We will probably and hopefully will have more of this breathtaking sunset view as the summer arrives here but I know it won’t be like this one, the sunset after endless rainy days. We are back to grey wet May but I am sending the wish out to universe for a little more of it before May is gone.
