Cononish Gold Mine Visit 1
Me at the end of the 22km ride, mostly off-road with a bit of hillwalking too.
My absolute favourite bike ever is beside me, the Titanium "Rock Lobster" custom-build.
The main objective of the trip today was to visit the Cononish gold-mine, a speculative gold mine in the Scottish highlands which has never actually produced a gramme of commercial gold! A very interesting site, however.
This is also my first set of fully geotagged photographs.
(I always forget after I number these that the "Uploadr" sends them in reverse order!)
South Perth bike path
There seems to be good bike support in Perth, including this path that's supposed to be for bikes only. There's a separate pedestrian path. Most bikers I saw here and in the central city were thoroughly decked out in fluorescent green vests and other high-visibility gear, and most ride mountain bikes. I've noticed only one simple, fixed gear bike in 3 weeks.
