Miniature Spaghetti Squash
These are delicious. One squash is perfect for two people. They are a deeper shade than the traditional variety and are said to contain more vitamins. The white flowers are radishes. I read a companion planting article that said radishes help repel squash bugs. I have had terrible problems with squash bugs in the past and have not seen any since I have tried this. I just buy the cheap 10 cent packets of radish seed at the dollar store and let them go to seed.
Nasturtiums
You can put these flowers into a salad I gather not that I'd fancy eating them - yuck!! I saw someone once in Sainsbury's buying a packet of the flowers and they cost a fortune. I told her it would be cheaper to buy a packet of seeds and grow her own, lol.
The entire plant really stinks once the first frosts of autumn get them - once you smell that you won't forget in a hurry!!
