Monstertrack fork with spoke cards from the first two years of the race
When Monstertrack alleycat came along in 2000, It was one of the first all track bike alleycats. Until then, the best you were going to do, in most cases, was first place track bike. Usually destroyed by a road bike or road bike with straight bars and rapidfire shifters. It was nice to go to a race with a level playing field. The fork I made for the prize this year is modeled after the fork on my late 70's Colnago super track bike that I rode in the first Monstertrack race. 30mm rake and 355mm crown to axle. Tight and quick as lightning. Match that up with a 75-degree head tube and you have yourself a real track bike.
