This one is an American Beauty although there is nothing American about it. It was made in Japan. Many Japanese companies used "American" sounding names to overcome consumer reluctance to imported Japanese goods or relied on U.S. importers to sell their radios under more common brand names.
This example was badly beat up when I found it. it was held together in several places with tape. It was one of my early restoration efforts.
