Rural Wireless Internet Access Skills in Asian Newsrooms
18 year old Milan Lohani from Galgot higher secondary school in Galkot, Baglung district uses a computer and his moble phone to access the web for facebook and help with his schoolwork. After studying in Nebraska, USA, Mahabir Pun returned to Nepal to set up wireless internet access in remote himalayan villages. The internet connection allows communities to access information about markets, news and educational materials for the schools. Wireless collection point
I was one of the people who helped set this up. It's part of the equipment that provides free wireless Internet for all of downtown Silver Spring (I didn't do hardware, I worked on OS and program setup).
It seems odd that the collection point is covered by a set of blinds peeking out the window.
