Gone to the Dogs: 12/52
Shot for the 52 weeks for dogs project: This week was another challenging one from a photographic opportunity perspective as I was gone from Wednesday evening until very early Sunday morning (our bus arrived home at 5am after a 12 hour drive!) at my annual work hockey tournament. My wife has a very bad knee right now so both dogs had to go to the dog hotel (aka "Gone to the Dogs" while I was away.
This a a really fantastic facility where the dogs have access to a very large fenced area plus the barn (upstairs and downstairs) and covered area attached to the barn plus they get to go on group walks in the farm fields each day. The dogs are never separated from each other and have 24/7 human company/supervision.
Most of the dogs there are either day visitors or drop ins to the play area. The overnight guests like Sampson and Autumn either sleep in the main house, or, if there are too many overnighters then one of the owners sleeps with the dogs in a special part of the barn!
After a short sleep I picked up both Autumn and Sampson this (Sunday) afternoon and took the opportunity to take some shots. It was a dull day and none of the shots turned out the way I had hoped but this one and the ones below do tell the story of their week quite nicely.
My eyes are drooping as I type this so I promise to catch up with you all tomorrow evening after I have had a bit more sleep.
