Here is a nice photo taken in the evening, just before mid-night, on Ally's birthday.
You may or may not be able to see, but there are actually 23 mini choc-chip muffins to mark my bestfriend's 23rd birthday. And you may or may not be able to see, it spells out "Happy 23rd Birthday [heart] Ally [heart]" Took me a while to work out the letters and how many. And my sister M helped me bake the muffins [because we all know I can't bake to save my life] I guess I decorated them [stick to the stuff I know!]

Ally's birthday was on the Friday. She shares the same birthday as lots of people, like David Beckham, Jennetic and Mel Duck. But she get's extra VIP treatment from me because she's my bestfriend.
We travelled down to Cornwall, checked out our crib [which was lush!] Had a mini-picnic on the beach [whilst watching surfers], caught up on last week's The Apprentice, then got [overly] dressed up for some Award Winning meals in St Ives. Only Ally couldn't drink a glass of wine with me because she was the designated driver! So after that lush seafood meal, back home, off to the local pub. After a pint, back home whereby I somehow managed to set all the muffins up [despite Ally curiously wondering what I was up to], but somehow she managed to see the mini-cakes, but before I had the chocolate icing and candles done up, only I asked her politely to "Please leave me alone. Thank you." Which she did, reluctantly.

For the rest of this month of May, I have decided to take this opportunity to do the
30 SECRETS IN 30 DAYS challenge! I will tell you my secrets. Day-by-day :) Ok, some may seem like facts, but they're still things not many people know about, thus qualifying them to BE secrets. Heh.

Second Secret: I put so much effort into making someone feel happy on their birthday, kinda because it's simply their special day kind of thing. It's important that they are treated like a princess/prince/king/queen. It's "their" day. And to me, that's very important. Well obviously those who are important in my life get this VIP treatment [or I try to give it anyway...] Nobody likes to have a depressing birthday. I know I get depressed easily on my birthday when nobody thinks it's a special day for me. It hurts when people say "Oh birthday's are like any other day...! Live with it!" it's not as simple as that. It's a day you're meant to be happy and celebrating being such and such age. So whenever it's a bestfriend's birthday or something, I try my ultimate best to make the friend feel special, happy and loved. No matter the cost.

I wanted to show you all some of our Christmas decorations - just because I like how I've decorated this year! Very self-indulgent I know!

The house has these lovely deep slate-topped windowsills which were asking to be covered in candles and shiny stuff. Plus I quite liked some of the shots I took ;P*

So there'll most likely be a few more tomorrow. :)
