A convection heater is a heater which operates by air convection currents circulating through the body of the appliance, and across its heating element. This heats up the air, causing it to increase in area. Oil heaters are an example for this kind of heating appliances.

This photo was taken at full zoom close up. I love the distortion of his face and legs. The texture of his fly mask and inquisitive ears work well in this black and white piece. By taking out the color, we are able to contrate not on the back ground, but instead in the emotion of his ears. If this photo was taken in color, we may have lost that detail.
A hotbed of cats
I often run into problems if I feel like taking an afternoon nap ... from front to back, Blackie, Jaws (on left in middle), Pipsqueak (on right in middle), Madeleine and Mei-Mei. What you can't see here is Halfpint asleep on the convector heater just off to the top left. Jekyll was the only one of our cats not in the big bedroom when I took this picture.
