Recording Umami "Fire & Spiders"
Recording drums for Umami's "Fire & Spiders." A friend of the band lent us his basement in South Williamsburg. It was cold and we tried to keep warm with a gas heater. We also recorded both bass guitars (the band has two bassists, no guitarist) in the same room but I didn't manage to get a photo of that setup.
Tuning the bodhrán....
Dashing off-stage in the middle of a set, crouched in front of the floor heater, trying to drive the humidity out of my drum. I've learned my lesson, and now keep a blow-dryer in my case. Otherwise, every rainy day sees me playing a very expensive Glad bag.
