Sell (goods) in large quantities at low prices to be retailed by others
My career begins
After a short career as a corrugated box designer and cutter of rubber dies (don't ask!) I finally got started on my chosen career. By 1956 I was beginning a career in commercial art in Calgary, Alberta, at The Motor Car Supply Company, a kind of early Canadian Tire Company only wholesale only. I was in charge of the art department and did everything: including designing catalogues, posters, business forms, running a 14 x 20 Lithokraft offset printing press, making negatives, burning offset plates, ordering paper stocks and inks and sweeping up when needed. No unions then but priceless experience.
