Arriving at the city of golden friendship i just knew i needed a bike to move around on and snap pics cause its 80F all the time. Was figuring something mild like a 500 VR or something but this city of 1 million only stocks 125cc anywhere. Ok what the hay i try one out.
Ready to shift into 4th i found myself goin 600MPH and was sold right away. Suspension aint so great though and 2 of us and rocky mountain roads managed to break 3 rear spokes and a tire in the first week. Down to the shop and ya Honda uses cheap Korean spokes, need to replace with heavy duty Japanese ones. Ok...do that right now and balance..throw on a new oversize tire, tube and custom heavy duty shocks...like right now!!!....so 2 mechs start rippin it apart in front of shop in the blazing sun...done in one hour and bill comes to 1800 pesos, thats like $45 USD....rides like a dream now.
These are a must to get anywhere here and during rush hour they turn on all 3 of the citys stoplights. A maze of jeepneys, trucks burning kerosene, motorolas top speed 15mph...new American suv's and pedicabs goin way slower than a bicycle but holding up the entire parade. So u squeeze through and hole, pass on left, right, up middle, up the dam sidewalk to get to the front of the line at the red light. Sometimes is 30 scooters in a pack and when that green changes its like start of the gran prix, what a blast.
