The rig, England October 1984
My trusty '75 Honda CB400F with about 70,000 miles on it, mostly from doing deliveries as a courier in NYC. It had a Martek 440 electronic ignition, Jardine exhaust can with stock headers, K&N pod filters, Barnett clutch with CB900F springs and Derale oil cooler. It had a fresh set of rings and it got a new Metzeler rear tire in Freiburg, Germany. The "luggage" you see there is an external frame backpack with a steel toolbox bolted to the lower part where you would normally put the sleeping bag. Aside from tools including tire irons, I had spare tire tubes, light bulbs and fuses among other odds & ends.
This bike was stolen off the street in Graz, Austria in 1987.
