Car Fire
We were woken up by a loud "bang" at 01:15 on Saturday morning and I looked out of the window to see our new neighbour's car on fire! (They only moved in two weeks ago) At this point the flames were much smaller than in the photo and were only coming out of the bonnet.
I grabbed my camera after making a couple of necessary phonecalls and ducked behind my mate Andi's car. (It was Andi's first visit to our house too!). As the tyres burst with loud pops, and the flames crept towards the petrol tank I was beckoned back inside by my wife, Jen!
After initally suspecting the worst and making sure all the house windows were open ajar, it turned out that it was caused by an electrical fault in the dashboard...
Since this incident, two more cars have "spontaneously" combusted. We now park our car in the large secure compound protected by armed guards, across the road.
Update: Thank fuck we've moved house. A total of eight cars have developed "electrical faults". Including a diesel. And some who's "electrical faults" clearly started in the wheel-arches. The local fire brigade are only part-timers though...
news flash-- Massey Ferguson holds up small car
Wish I had a pic of me taking this shot -- I had to point the camera through a small hole in the fence!!! Shame about the blown sky and the quality of the shot.
