We'd just been talking about the New Yorker article about kids and self-control, in which kids have a marshmallow put in front of them and are told they can eat it now or they can wait 15 minutes and then get two marshmallows. Dash asserted that he would be patient (and I don't doubt it for a minute). Wrenna just laughed when we suggested it to her as the cookies were placed on the table.
