Large TV Dish Solar Cooker
This is a solar cooker I made from an old satellite TV dish. I used foil tape to cover the dish.
So far I have just been leaning it up to use it. One of these days, I will have to build a proper support for it.
It boiled 2 inches of water in about 6 minutes.
It would have a little more power if properly focused but this setup allows me to cook without splattering the dish with food. I need to get some longer bamboo poles for the tripod.

The best Japanese market in Vancouver area is Fujiya (the main store at Clark&Venables). The only Japanese market in town that is worth your trip. I go to this supermarket quite often, but never really try the cooked dishes they have. I was so tempted today to try. OK. Let's just go for small container.
They're great and not as expensive as I thought. In fact, I'm going to buy this more often for bento side dishes.
