Warra Warra !
The first words spoken by Aboriginals to Europeans were recorded as "Warra, warra". (Go away!). Neither Captain James Cook in his time nor millions since have heeded this advice; and now it's my turn not to.
Captain Cook "discovered" Australia in 1770. Prior to 1776 England had been outsourcing its criminal population to its American colonies in the Carolinas, Georgia and Virginia, but the contract was cancelled with the advent of the American Revolution and the British were forced to find another vendor in the New World. Australia showed up in the nick of time.

Thornton Peak from Rocky Point Australia
Thornton Peak is the 3 rd highest peak in Queensland and though it looks impressive is less than 5000 feet high. This photo was zoomed in from Rocky Point and that is why there is a bluishness to it. Thornton Peak dominates the Cape Tribulation area and this is a high rainfall region in the tropical rainforests. Cape Tribulation was named by Captain Cook who discovered the eastern coast of Australia in 1770, and it was just off here his boak struck a reef (Endeavour Reef) and he nearly perished. Hence the tribulation. It is a gorgeous area and I have many fungii and views to come.
