A trip by car and boat to Tortuguero takes nearly four hours (seemingly longer when accompanied by a pompous know-it-all and a family of sub-morons) while a cozy chartered flight takes 25 minutes.

Victor dropped us off here to catch another boat to the airport. We (me and the guy from Italy) paid these guys $55 for the charter flight which was a bargain. The lodge runs $115 a night.
