VR-BKL Shorts 360-100 "Philippine Airlines"
Interesting little plane and I was very happy to see two of them stored here in Manila. This one VR-BKL was delivered new to PR in Aug 1988, sold to Rheinland Air Service-RAS in 1999 as D-CFLX before going back to the UK as G-BOEI with BAC Express in 2002. In 2005 she was exported to the USA as N3735W for Air Cargo Carriers... and sadly that was her last home... in Feb 2006 two shorts from ACC went on a test flight and photo shoot.... they collided and this one N3735W crashed killing the crew. The other aircraft N372AC was damaged and w/o on landing but her crew survived.
