Amritsar (, translation: The Pool Of Immortality) is a city in the northwestern part of India and is the administrative headquarters of Amritsar district Langar in the state of Punjab, India.
Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 13 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Punjab state in northern India.
A northwest Indian city known as an important weaving center for rugs during the late 19th early 20th centuries. It was very prolific during this period due to the strong demand for carpets in the United States and Europe.

Day 01: Day 01: Delhi – Shimla (350 kms/7 hrs)
Morning drive to Shimla, Shimla is capital of Himachal Pradesh. It was the summer capital of India under British rule. Shimla is located in the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 meters. Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties which one can think of. It has got a scenic location, it is surrounded by green hills with snow capped peaks. Day 02: Shimla
After breakfast, proceed for the city tour of Shimla. Tour includes excursion to Kufri, Shimla mosque, summer hill, Annandale, Christ church, shimla state museum etc. Enjoy shopping in famous shopping plaza of The Mall. Stay night in Shimla.
Day 03: Shimla – Manali (250 kms/6 hrs)
Mronig drive to Manali on the way visit Pandho Dem, Hanogi Mata Temple. Manali is an important hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, India, near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. It is located about 250 kilometres (155 mi) north of state capital, Shimla. Night stay in Manali.
Day 04: Manali – Rohtang Pass – Manali (100 kms/4 hrs)
After breakfast, excursion to Rohtang pass on highway to Keylong/Leh. It is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley just as Zojila pass is a gatway to Ladakh. There are beautiful sight of glaciers, peaks and Chandra river flows down in the Lahaul valley. Slightly to the left are the twin peaks of the Geypan. Back to Manali and free for leisure activities.
Day 05: Manali
Proceed for the city tour of Manali. Tour includes visit to Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar, Tibbetan Monestry, Club House and evening shopping at the local market Mall Road. Over Night stay in hotel.
Day 06: Manali – Dharamshala (230 kms/6 hrs apprx)
Drive to Dharamshala in the morning, Dharamshala is located in the Kangra Valley, in the shadow of the Dhauladhar mountains. Reach Dharamshala and enjoy evening by walk. Over night stay in Dharamshala.
Day 07: Dharamshala – Dalhousie (100 kms/2 hrs approx)
After breakfast, visit Dalali Lamba Temple, Bhagsu nath temple. Take lunch in Dharamshala and proceed for Dalhousie. Dalhousie is located in the outer slopes of hill Dhauladhar range is another important hill resort in the district Chamba . A number of picturesque walks run through the oak, pine and deodar forests around the town and offer excellent views of the Chenab, the Ravi and the Beas valleys. It is thicky wooded with stately pines and oaks and has lovely picnic spot all around. Dalhousie is the gateway to Chamba. Evening free for walk around the mall road. Over night stay in Dalhousie.
Day 08: Dalhousie – Chamba – Khajjar
After breakfast, visit kalatop, Khajjiar (India`s Mini Switzerland, a beautiful glade with the forest at its fringes.), Chamba (famous for Temples). Over night stay in Dalhousie.
Day 09: Dalhousie – Amritsar (200 kms/5 hrs)
Proceed for half tour of Dalhousie and drive to Amritsar. Amritsar is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh Religion. Reach Amritsar and over night in Amritsar.
Day 10: Amritsar
Visit Golden Temple in the morning. Amritsar is an institution by itself. And the Golden Temple is the cradle of Amritsar with the city growing around it nurtured by its divine sanctity. Amritsar is one of the most sacred Sikh religious sites in India. Visit Jalian wallah bagh and Wagah Border (India Pakistan border) to watch retreat ceremony-30 KM on the road to Lahore is India-Pakistan Border. A visit to the border is an interesting experience especially at Sunset, when the retreat ceremony takes place with the Border Security Force on the Indian Side and the Sutlej Rangers on the Pakistan side putting up a well coordinated and spectacular display. The sound from the Bugles blown together from both sides paints past on the canvas when India and Pakistan were one, simultaneously Flags of the two nations are ceremoniously retrieved and lights are switched on marking the end of the day. Amidst thunderous applause today this point is the only land route open to approach Pakistan and central Asia. Over night stay in hotel.
Day 11: Amritsar – Chandigarh (220 kms/5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Chandigarh. Chandigarh is a union territory and capital of Haryana and Punjab. Chandigarh is a first planned city and known for its architecture and urban planning. Evening free to explore the beauty of Chandigarh.
Day 12: Chandigarh – Delhi (250 kms/5 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Rose garden, rock garden and proceed to Delhi. Reach Delhi check into the hotel.
