Russian Beauty
She is wearing a Sarafan. "Sarafan" is a traditional Russian long, shapeless jumper dress worn as Russian folk costume by women and girls. I mate her in a shop selling russian wooden toys.
Sarafan is still a traditional “dress” painted on wooden Russian dolls. It is also depicted in many paintings of Russian peasant women.
Russian Wooden Santa
Gary gives me a Christmas ornament each year. This year's is a fantastic wooden, hand-carved and painted Santa on hirse drawn sled. When you push the stick on its end, the horse "gallops" with Santa pulling on the reins. I love my husband!!!
