This hotel was located at Iwakuni, several hundred miles south of Atsugi. It is was a U.S. Marine Corp Air Station. On occasions, I hitched a flight down to shoot photos and paint. This is where the noted bridge with many arches is located. It is, or was, a serene area perfect for painting and getting away for awhile.
