Day 365 - I'm your man
Monday, September 21, 2009
This is my last photo for Project 365.
I'm done!
I started this on September 22, 2008, not really knowing what I had gotten myself into. There have been many ups and downs just keeping this little adventure alive... Thank you for your all for tuning in, for your comments, and for your encouragement!
Today is Leonard Cohen's 75th birthday. If you know me at all, you'll know I'm crazy for Cohen, so I thought it fitting that I pay tribute to a famous photo of him on this day.
I've been musing about all of the changes that have happened over the past year, and it's occurred to me to write something up, but I'll leave that for another time, I think. It's late, and tomorrow is another day. Instead, I'll leave you with these lines from Leonard Cohen's song, "Anthem":
The birds they sang
at the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
has passed away
or what is yet to be.
Ah the wars they will
be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
bought and sold
and bought again
the dove is never free.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
