Elvis Presley's Racquetball Building Lounge, Graceland Mansion, Memphis, Tennessee

This is a photo that I took of the lounge in Elvis Presley's racquetball building behind his Graceland mansion in the city of Memphis, Tennessee. In the 1970's, Elvis got into the racquetball craze that was popular throughout the country at the time. He decided that he liked it so much that he had a fully equipped racquetball court built behind his home. This racquetball court was equipped with a full service bar, a game room stocked with pinball machines, and this deep sunk lounge located adjacent to the court, itself. Elvis was often entertain guests in this lounge at odd hours of the day. In the early morning hours of August 16, 1977, Elvis sat down at the piano in the lounge and played and sang "Blue Eyes Crying In the Rain." It was his last musical performance because after leaving the racquetball court, he went to his room upstairs in the mansion, went to the bathroom, and then left this world.

A Whole Lotta Elvis Goin' On

My uncle REALLY likes Elvis. This is an alcove in his basement devoted to The King. It's kind of like a really backwards game of "Where's Waldo?"
