At Least that is what it looks like to me, both from here, lookintg at this photo, and from when I am sitting in that chair, taking control of my life, any which way I can.

This is my new HP TouchSmart PC - the result of a very long and involved dispute with the hydro company that ended with them replacing the 6th computer in as many years, among many other things...

For those who are also seeing impaired, I highly recommend this PC! The screen is to die for./..you just cannot get better contrast and/or clarity - your pictures will never look so good!!

I use the built-in webcam every day as a kind of medical journal, and can't get enough of the sticky notes that remind me of everything, and they really stick!

You can touch the screen to do almost anything, it even has an onscreen keyboard that I can see! Sometimes that mouse cursor cannot get large enough...this is a PC that will help me make the transitions necessary as I loose more vision in the years to come.

Oh, and one more thing, the whole PC is built into that monitor you see! No towers, no messy cords, and yo can just pick it up and put it where you want. It now supports Zoom Text and a lower resolution, and it is very easy to change other settings such as DPI, custom colours, and even a speech recognition program built right in.

Best of all, I can actually see those teeny-tiny thumbnails that I have to work with, both in photo editing, and video editing wiht Adobe that uses these things throughout the whole editing process.

Anyway, just thought I would share, and maybe someone else can learn from my experience (like get the 25", not the 22" - I sent it back after 3 weeks of trying to make it work, but in my case, bigger was better!).

Seen in a museum, this image was shot through glass and is a macro shot of a round ball covered with iridescent beetle wings of cobalt blue and teal.

This image is true Karma for me. First, I took shots while out and about Saturday and thought I did not have about 15 of them. Then I found them, yeah! Then I edited alot of images and a terrible accident happened where I lost them due to an accidental deletion of my entire Pictures folder. My friend John Groseclose came to the rescue with a plan to scan the "empty space" on the Mac and then he found I had 79 gig of images still "there"! After his initial scan of hours and hours, he was able to do a recovery with a disk data recovery software and copied the files to an external hard drive.

After he was done, I could not see the missing images but I knew that he had saved about 12,000 image files for me. A long search through all the recovered files that now had "no name" and new applied numbers showed that the recovered files are spread through many new folders by image type. It took me about 6 hours to find this particular image again, so that's the story and I am sticking to it. What a memory shot this image is for me!
