Aquamarine Power announces new investment as First Minister opens the company's new offices in Edinburgh
CEO Martin McAdam announces a new investment in Aquamarine Power of 11 million GBP (8 million from ABB, and 3 million from existing shareholders).
The announcement was made as First Minister Alex Salmond officially opened Aquamarine Power's new premises in Elder Street, Edinburgh.
Aquamarine Power is a wave energy company. Aquamarine Power's innovative hydro-electric wave power technology - known as Oyster - captures energy found in nearshore waves and converts it into clean sustainable electricity.
W122DWX First Leeds Volvo B7LA 10039
First Leeds have recently made an investment in refurbishing six of these Wright Eclipse Fusion bodied Volvo B7LA articulated buses for route 95 between Leeds, Headingley and Bodington Hall. Unfortuately on the day I went to photo these only two were actually in service amongst Volvo B7TL's and a Volvo Olympian. Having previously worked in Bradford and York, 10039 is seen here at the bottom of Park Row in Leeds city centre wearing the special orange and blue route branding used on these buses..
