NJ Devil signing card
Zach Parise, NJ Devil forward and Olympic Silver Medalist, was at the NJ State Library, 185 West State St, Trenton, on Tuesday, May 25, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., to read a story to the children from the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf. Parise, a New Jersey Library Champion, also received a letter from New Jersey’s First Lady Mary Pat Christie, showed the children his Silver Medal and posed for pictures with fans under the large Zach Parise banner which hangs from the State Library building. Also on hand for the kids were Devils' mascot N.J. Devil and Trenton Devils' mascot Scorch.

Here, the Korean captain is trying to explain to Julie Lucy-Ashton (AUS) that the Dutch player's stick had been caught in the sleeve of her jersey. Without the benefit of video replay, it appeared that Kim (#11) had deliberately trapped the stick of de Bruijn (#16) under her arm after they collided and fell to the ground. The video showed that de Bruijn's stick was stuck in Kim's jersey quite inadvertently, and de Bruijn had pulled her stick away, pushing Kim in the process and probably was more deserving of the yellow card Kim ended up receiving.
