- There are three styles of gloves worn by ice hockey players. Skaters wear similar gloves on each hand, while goaltenders wear gloves of different types on each hand.

For this Diptych I used my hockey gloves and went for a close up of the thumb logo and a wider angle on the blocker. I really liked the contrast of the blue and red against the white.

My pair of extremely old skates (about fifteen years old), and my newer pair of gloves sit idly by the shoes, used only once this year.
