National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain, Chamberlein Square, Birmingham

The National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain is resident in Birmingham. At the time of this shot, members of the choir appeared through Paradise Forum whilst playing "Over The Rainbow", coming to a stand in Chamberlein Square. This was a very effective performance, filling the square with exquisite sound! After this, it was announced they would be performing in Adrian Boult Hall as part of Artsfest, where the 30 minute recital gained them a standing ovation.

E flat Contra-bass Saxophone

E flat Contra-bass Saxophone

I am not sure how much this contra-bass saxophone weighs! It is being carried by Dave, the player, and the box it normally rests in when Dave plays it standing up is being carried by another memer of the band. Some onlookers are still getting over the fact that the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain has just performed a short piece in the square, as part of the Artsfest.
