more practice with the fixed 500mm apo sigma, again sharp captures are possible , but the contrast was awful, the canon software had to be used to drop the shadows right back, highlights had to be lifted. The tonal range of this lens isnt good in any way, though I find its criticism in producing sharp images from others a little harsh, sharp it can do, well toned it cannot. This is a crop from an already cropped lens factor due to using the apo on the EOS 450D, so its glass quality can't be that bad, its problem is probably that the curvature of the glass rather than its production quality and clarity is at fault.
Violin mute and rosin

The mute sits on the violin's bridge and really does a good job of dampening the sound making it sound really quiet. This one is a practicing mute - heavy made of bronze.
When the bow is rubbed along the rosin, the hair becomes sticky and is able to pull the strings as it is passed over them so that they vibrate and make a sound.
