And the violins stopped playing : Famous tenor sax players.
And The Violins Stopped Playing
And the Violins Stopped Playing (I skrzypce przestaly grac) is a 1988 movie depicting a real story about a group of Romani people who are forced to flee from the persecuting forces of the Nazis at the height of the Porajmos (Romani holocaust), during World War II.
Day 39/365: Lorenzo Laroc
This is Lorenzo Laroc, composer and electric violinist. He was playing this evening in the Grand Central Terminal subway station. A huge crowd had formed around him, and all sorts of people just stopped in their tracks to listen. He was simply fantastic. Emotional and loud electric violin playing on your way home from work is an unexpected delight. To the side of him, out of the picture, is a guy sitting at a table hawking Laroc's CD for $10. I wish I had gotten one.
Socks and Sandals Violin
I ran into this quartet of musical artists playing classical music on the Langestraat in Alkmaar, NL. These guys were amazing, they played like professionals. It stopped everybody in their bored tracks. They all had something in common: socks and sandals. It was about the music, not about the show.
