a small lake; "the pond was too small for sailing"
Pond was a grunge band from Portland, Oregon. They formed in 1991 and broke up in 1998. They were signed to Sub Pop (first two albums) and the Work Records sub-label of Sony Records (last album).

finished fountain
Stone fountains sometimes consist of granite pieces (as in the stone fountain in this project) with two holes drilled through the rock to accommodate the tubing. My 24-inch tall stone fountain cost $250 (U.S.) and has a circular "window" sculpted out of the rock, about 3/4 of the way up. The hole into which the tubing will be fed resides at the very bottom of the granite; the other hole, through which the water will spout, is found at the bottom of the circular window.
Such stone fountains typically stand on a grate spanning a pond, with both grate and pond concealed by rocks. As a cost-cutting measure, I improvised by using a firewood grate (the kind that holds logs near a fireplace) that I happened to have lying around, rather than going out and buying a grate specifically for this project.
* Supplies for My Stone Fountain Project Grate
* Preformed pond liner
* Pump
* Tubing for the pump
* Sand
* River rock
* Other assorted rock
* The stone fountain piece, itself
* Shovel
* Carpenter's level
* Back brace
This stone fountain project is simple, but not easy on the back; thus the inclusion of the last supply mentioned. Those not in good physical shape are advised to have someone else move granite rock pieces of this sort into place, as they are quite heavy.
Since some people refer to such water features as "rock fountains," I use "stone fountains" and "rock fountains" interchangeably in this article.
In Step 2 we'll excavate to begin the stone fountain installation....
floating under milky sky
i bought some of those blank cards and envelopes and decided to actually print some photos to make some photo note cards for some of my friends for Christmas....I took my memory stickto one of the Kodak machines at the Superstore and felt like a real novice standing there trying to figure out how to work it...that and pumping my own gas..I have put that "challenge" off too! I am quite pleased with how they look now that I have them mounted on the cards, so I downloaded more from my computer to my memory stick (after I finally remembered how) Boy, I sure am dumb about the technical side of stuff! Amazing I have figured out how to work the camera!! LOL ...so I spent an hour looking through old folders and found a lot of photos I had forgotten...now if only I could Quickly get the 555 that have made it on Explore onto my memory stick that would save having to open and browse so many folders. Anyone know a shortcut? On explore at 173 says jacii, but not showing up on my Scout poster..again
