(The Up Song) "The Up Song" was Kevin Ayers’ first release after signing to Island Records. The song was a single-only release in 1974. The B-side, "Everybody’s Sometime and Some People’s All The Time Blues" was taken from Ayers’ album, The Confessions of Dr.

I had a pack of Polaroid 690 that was out of the box and it was really offending my OCD sense of order. (Actually, I don't really have OCD or anything, but seeing that one silver pack on top of my neat row of blue Polaroid boxes really did start to get to me.) So, even though I'd been saving all my 690 film for a possible future transfer project, I determined to use up that anarchist film pack while I was up in Northampton, Mass., today.
I'm usually not a fan of Polaroid color, since it's a lot harder for me to do well than B&W, but I think I got a number of nice shots this time out.
This one is my absolute favorite. I'm really sorry that you all can't see this one in person. though. It's so warm and golden, it gives me the tingles.
