High Efficiency Pond Pump
AFUE percentage used to describe furnaces.
General term for technologies and processes that require less energy, water, or other inputs to operate. A goal in sustainable building is to achieve high efficiency in resource use when compared to conventional practice.
(of flowing water or other liquids) Form such a lake
Pond was a grunge band from Portland, Oregon. They formed in 1991 and broke up in 1998. They were signed to Sub Pop (first two albums) and the Work Records sub-label of Sony Records (last album).
A pond is a body of standing water, either natural or man-made, that is usually smaller than a lake.
Hold back or dam up (flowing water or another liquid) to form a small lake
a small lake; "the pond was too small for sailing"
operate like a pump; move up and down, like a handle or a pedal; "pump the gas pedal"
A light shoe, in particular
A woman's plain, lightweight shoe that has a low-cut upper, no fastening, and typically a medium heel
A man's slip-on patent leather shoe for formal wear
deliver forth; "pump bullets into the dummy"
a mechanical device that moves fluid or gas by pressure or suction
new recirc pumps
For lower pond to upper pond - love the simplicity - and boy are they quiet. Off back of dam.
For the pond size and distance we wanna pump, the calcs suggested that we needed a 1HP pump. Instead of a single 1 HP pump, we went with two 1/2 HP pumps. Gives us more control (can run 1 or 2), and redundancy if a leg breaks or we want to clean it. Also, the two high efficiency 1/2 HP pumps we found together use less power than a single 1 HP pump!
