This is the center or main focus of my altar. In case you are wondering, I have a rustic farm style table runner on this altar and I've been using it for well over 5 years now. I had intended it to be representative of the summer, but I love the colors of it so much and how it ties in so strongly with the rest of the feel of my altar (It does seem to be heavily earth centric nu?) that it has become my regular cloth. I also have a very long sunflower daisy chain that runs along the entire back of the altar. I know it's a summer thing, and I *may* change it seasonly, but I haven't fully made that decision yet.

Items:

I'm sure you all must recognize the Gaia statue designed by Oberon Zell. I am not a huge fan of his, but this statue is one of the most beautiful representations of the Earth Mother that I have ever seen. She is a recent acquisition, I only purchased her last year, but I can't image ever having an altar without a Earth Goddess on it and she is the Queen of them all to me. @:) She is resting on a very large and very heavy yellow onyx stand that is in fact an upside down onyx ashtray. I sometimes see these in Goodwills or at yard sales and I ADORE them!! She is holding a necklace for me that was at one time a broken blue rosary of my Mom's. I repaired it and added a large crystal where the cross should have been. (sorry, it's hidden behind the cauldron) and I tend to wear it during rituals, but it rests there when not in use.

In front of her is medium-large cauldron that is of the Spirit Pottery line and that I purchased in Salem. In it is my favorite herbal mix of Patchouli and Roses. Also in it lies a large acorn that my Dad hand carved and painted for me a few years before he passed away. It was something that I specifically asked for him to make for my altar and it is always on my main altar.

Next to it is a rock salt candle holder that rests on a bronze oak leaf bowl, and in front of it is a larger pine cone that was a gift from my nieces. (They always bring me home interesting rocks and earthy things from their walks and trips)

To the left of her is a stone figure that has a Tree of Life and a dove on it. At the bottom is the word Peace. That was a gift from a friend. You can see the Venus again as well as a very large Amethyst orb that was a birthday gift to myself a year ago. It rests on a lovely silver and purple napkin ring holder that I found at a yard sale.

To her right is a pentacle that I made from clay, river stones, and some willow branches. and you can't see it, but there is also a very large crystal point in front of it that is dyed a very vibrant hue of green.

One of my best friends Tyler sent me a picture that he developed in his film class. It was of bowls on a table and I absolutely love it. This shot reminded me of it a little. I just like how this turned out and I was just experimenting a little. This is my dresser. If you can't tell I love glass bottles; give me one to add to my collection and I'll be ever so thankful. * Sorry the notes are so excessive.
