Moon envelope card
The envelope I used was an acetate envelope colored silver, which I cut on the diagonal to yield a tall narrow pocket for a tag. I cut a moon shape from another envelope (I didn't have enough left after cutting two pockets), then stamped the owl and colored it with colored pencils. I put a strip of shell fringe along the top edge of the pocket to add some movement. I attached the owl and the Whoo's Birthday? element (printed on my computer) with foam tape. The tag was a die cut from cardstock, distressed with walnut ink around the edges, and stamped with a Hero Arts script stamp for background, then the Small Greetings happy birthday stamp. I added the Tags With Words stamps in rust Brilliance ink to the tags with foam tape for additional dimension. The card is a shiny dark navy.
Altered Envelopes
These are some used business envelopes (that junk mail was sent to me in) that I turned inside out, then I water colored them. After that I spray painted them with spots of silver paint... then I deco'd some images on them and covered the whole thing in another layer of podge and glitter. This is for the altered envelope swap with my fellow ssssnots... I am in loved with these envelopes and am going to have a hard time parting with them :(
