Hot and dry - but a Mojito made with fresh crushed mint from the Hotel Havana garden and hand shaved ice made it quite tolerable. The slight smell of Cigarettes and cigars in the breeze actually adds to the atmosphere which is all about martinis, hats, kicking back, and all things Cuban. On a whim, I wore my tan linen pants, white cuban shirt, sandals and a silver 1972 Timex Mercury wrist watch with a Twist-O-Flex metal band. So Ricky Ricardo! The guys in these photos were great to let me shoot a few photos - just had to capture the moment.
Timex 1971 Electric Diver Project
Timex 1971Electric Diver Watch with #40 movement. The watch is marked "Water Resistant" on the caseback but not on the front. It has a black dial, raised silver and gold dotted markers, and an red inner ring with crosshairs. The hands are white and luminous, the second hand is the sporty orange hand found on other Timex Diver and Tachometer watches. The watch needs a new crystal. It has a black bezel which is off for cleaning or replacement.
