(Jute rugs) Jute is a long, soft, shiny vegetable fibre that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is produced from plants in the genus Corchorus, which has been classified in the family Tiliaceae, or more recently in Malvaceae.

Natural Jute Tones Crochet Rug
I crocheted this rug with a fabric mill end (a by-product of fabric manufacturing). It is larger that my usual rugs, this one is 29 inches in diameter.
