The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Book): A Visitor's Guide to the Human Race
The eagerly awaited new book from the Emmy-winning, Oscar-hosting, Daily Show-anchoring Jon Stewart--the man behind the megaseller America (The Book).
Where do we come from? Who created us? Why are we here? These questions have puzzled us since the dawn of time, but when it became apparent to Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show that the world was about to end, they embarked on a massive mission to write a book that summed up the human race: What we looked like; what we accomplished; our achievements in society, government, religion, science and culture -- all in a tome of approximately 256 pages with lots of color photos, graphs and charts.
After two weeks of hard work, they had their book. EARTH (The Book) is the definitive guide to our species. With their trademark wit, irreverence, and intelligence, Stewart and his team will posthumously answer all of life's most hard-hitting questions, completely unburdened by objectivity, journalistic integrity, or even accuracy.
Also available as an ebook and as an audiobook.

heavenly Father, help me to set an example in keeping Your world clean...
The bible indicates that God gave humans the right to use the plants of the world for nourishment (Gen. 1:29-30). But it also says, " The Lord God took man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it "(2:15). Persumably, Adam & Eve did their caretaking work in the garden until they disregarded God's will and turned their backs on Him.
But God's command for humans to care for His creation still stands today. And so you and I are still in the earth-gardening business. How about your small piece of the globe? Will you leave it a little greener, a little cleaner, than when you first arrived?
Keep Your Soul Clean
During our workshop with the DA-ARTTs program, the participating kids took photos of items they thought were cool - including their shoe. The focus on the program was for us to help them create items through art that could help them make change in their lives. The poster design grew from that experience of taking responsibility, both physically and mentally, for our actions on earth.
